where can i buy a plug extension that has batteries so in case of a power cut my electric items will stay on?
I’ve moved into a house where i have quite a few power cuts and I could be writing an important essay and lose it when my computer turns off during the power cut. I want an plug extension (4 way for example) to be able to still power my computer in a power cut (using batteries for example) so i have time to save my work and turn it off. Firstly forget what the previous guy said. This is a major problem when coming to small business servers and their other clients, in the large business sector they can afford powerful generators that take over at an instance of power failure, of course this is incredibly expensive for a regular/single user. A cheap alternative is to get a plug in device called a UPS [Uninterruptible Power Supply] these have a starting price of about £40 and do indeed work by battery power, the cheapest generally can provide a 400w PSU [Power Supply Unit], a monitor and a wireless router with about 10 – 20 minutes of Power usually enough time for the power to come back on and recharge the UPS, or for you to save and turn off. Just google UPS to see what a massive selection there is available to buy.
