Green Flashing Power Light On Tower.?

I was looking for my processor on my motherboard and i saw something that looked like it. I started to tug/pull on it and then realized it was the Southbridge Chipset. The chip is damaged on some of the sides. I found the actual processor later and installed a faster 1 (i know its not the processor because i tried the old 1 also). When i plugged the computer back in nothing started. No fans, no power, nothing :( . All but a green flashing light on the tower. I was wondering if i just need to buy a new motherboard since i damaged my old 1. Or is there anyway to replace the Southbridge Chipset.
also im looking at this motherboard for replacement.

Sorry, chances are that you just wiped out the M/B, and, unless you can find an identical motherboard (same model) you’ll probably end up reloading Windows too, since it won’t recognize the disk controller on a new MB.

Replacing the chipset? Maybe possible, but a complete reload and new MB is probably cheaper.

Good Luck!
