My words and icons on my computer got big all of a sudden?
I downloaded a trial version of a game from a legitimate website, and when my 60 minute trial was over and the program closed, all of the icons on my desk top got really big. Even now on the net all the writing and pictures and everything are gigantic too.
I know I could probably fix this by restarting the computer, but for complicated reasons, I can’t do that today. Any other way to fix it? Why did it do this anyway?
I am using Windows XP, if that makes a difference.
Sounds indeed like your screen resolution is set too low. Try this:
1. Right-click on the desktop and select Properties from the menu.
2. Click the Settings tab.
3. Adjust the Screen Resolution slider to the right.
4. Click OK.
Depending on your settings, the screen should either switch sizes permanently or for a 15-second trial period. If it looks right, accept it. If not, try another resolution.
